Copper patina · Colours
Colour worlds
Colours
Three groups, twelve surfaces. In order from the finished patina through the mixed states to the tones that lie on the way there.
Green and turquoise patina
The colours known from an old copper roof. They come from basic copper carbonates, outdoors over decades, in our workshop within weeks.

Turquoise with copper breaking through
Two states on one surface: the patina sits over the metal, which shows through in places.

Red, brown and ochre
The intermediate stages. Outdoors, copper runs through these tones first, before green can form.
